Gift List 18-24 month

This a recommended gift list of the toys I found my kids got some good use out of! Most of these toys will last for a few years in terms of staying interested in them. It also depends on what type of toys they enjoy. They are becoming their own little people and sometimes they may like ‘fixing’ things and banging on toys like tools OR taking care of pretend babies OR maybe both! If you don’t know where to start, take them to a toy store and see what they gravitate towards without you pointing items out. And also check out this list!

  • Bouncy animal - good for both indoor or outdoor spaces

  • B toys: wagon, keys - wagon is a great sand toy on the go!

  • Puzzles - any sort of puzzle is good exercise for their brain you may have to show them a few times before they start trying on their own

  • Large lego - perfect for their little hands

  • Pull back cars

  • Basketball set

  • Outdoor play sink - toddlers always love a reason to play with water

  • Sit to stand alpha train

  • Stroller & baby

  • Tool set or table (good for 2+ years old)

  • Shape sorter

  • Tea set

  • Mini trampoline : this one folds up if you are low on storage space and it doubles as a ball pit

  • Rain suit (muddy buddy) - great for daycare!

  • Plastic pool (inflatable ones are cute, but not as durable and get dirty easy)

  • Lawn mower or Trucks

  • Cash register

  • Pedal bike or Tractor (2 + years)

  • Chair & table set (Nice for toddler to have their own dedicated space they can use on their own for play, snack time, crafts, puzzles either for indoor, outdoor or both!)

TIP: Rotate the toys every few months ! Put out only certain toys at a time with the others in storage and after a couple months when they are getting bored bust out those toys in storage and it will feel like they have brand new toys. Once the other toys are in storage they will forget about them and you can take them out once again and they will be excited to use them again. It honestly works so well and that first day of playing with those toys, you will be surprised at how busy they are! If you don’t particularly have room for storage, depending on your layout, you can just rotate how the toys are displayed. The toys that are more visible can be rotated with the toys that are not so visible like in a toy bin, drawer etc.
