Concert time

With this surge of energy & adorable baby bump, this trimester enjoy…

  • baby moon: If you can do it - DO IT! For us the whole pregnancy was a surprise so we were not prepared whatsoever especially to take a vacation. But if it’s a little more expected and you have some money saved, it would be worth it to relax with your hubby before the beautiful craziness sets in. It’s healthy to have that time with your partner to enjoy each other and the pregnancy excitement before someone else comes into the mix. And if even with the second, you should as well. Maybe something more with kid friendly options for your first child to enjoy. But it’s good to give some extra attention to your little one before introducing a baby who will take up some of your attention. As well as have some good family bonding time. One kid is easy, trust me! One to two jump is harder than the zero to one jump in my opinion and many others (detailed post about this).

  • energy! To get ahead with tasks at work. To get things done around the house that need to be completed before baby arrives. Start planning nursery and baby registry.

  • date nights! You may now have some more energy to go out with your hubby for day dates or dinner dates. Try to squeeze in a movie date before it starts getting uncomfortable sitting in that theatre chair for too long. These extra date nights leads into…

  • sex !! Take advantage of this better mood and excitement with your sex life. Don’t be shy about your belly. You would be surprised how many men love pregnant woman body - and why not?! You are this amazing goddess making and carrying his child. When you get really far along things may get awkward with the belly in the way. But until then, revel in it!

  • maternity clothes: With that belly growing, it is smart to invest in some maternity clothes (or borrow). You can get away with stretchy leggings and longer shirts for a bit. But honestly it’s also much more comfortable to get some maternity wear. Leggings, jeans, longer shirts and tanks. Also good to invest in a belly band. It is literally a wide band which you can get different neutral colours that covers your belly. You wear it under your clothes. So if your shirt pulls up or you want to wear some older shirts it won’t show off your skin. You can also put under your current jeans and leave unbuttoned at the early stages.

  • comfy clothes: wearing leggings and stretchy clothes!

  • prenatal massage again! Because you deserve it!

  • gender reveal - either between you and your partner or a little party with some close family & friends

  • buying first baby item (especially if you find out gender)

  • start planning nursery & working on it

  • getting nails done. Pay extra for longer leg and foot massage when they start to swell and get sore

  • baby’s first movements!! First feel like bubbles popping until you really feel him/her kick!

  • ultrasound: getting to see the baby actually look like a baby with hands and feet and everything! :)

  • dentist appmt for cleaning. Enjoy? Yes I actually do enjoy dentist visits. But many may not - at least it will prevent your teeth from suffering

  • Buying or borrowing maternity pillow! SOOOOOO worth it. If you haven’t gotten it yet you should

  • Doing kegals. Okay maybe not enjoyable, but it brings happy thoughts that you are strengthening your vagina as much as you can before D day ;)

‘Babymoon”

This was as close to I got to a baby moon with my second Charlotte. We had a girls trip with my mom and sister to NYC to find some wedding dresses for my sister and also just have some fun! Dinners, shopping, trying dresses, spa time, walks in Central Park etc. One day we missioned it out to find a Target and returned to our fancy hotel with bunch of Target bags!
